1.3 I can use what I know about the root of a word to help me understand it. 1.4 I know some common Greek and Latin word roots and can use them to help me read
and understand new/complex words. 1.5 I know how to use a thesaurus to find related words and concepts. 1.6 I know that many words have more than one meaning and I can
